Here at Lovely Fitzgerald Photography I simply love photographing children and I love Valentine’s Day! Put them together and you get a super cute Valentine’s Mini Session! This year it was cloudy and yucky the day of the mini sessions, so I was glad we planned them to be inside my studio in Las Colinas, Texas!
I had a blast seeing how big some of my older clients had gotten and loved seeing some new faces! Overall the mini sessions were a success and I plan on doing an outdoor mini sessions sometime in April, when the blue bonnets are blooming.
We started the day out with sweet Avery. She had such a fun time throwing the balloons up in the air and was as cute as can be with her little dimples!!
I know Logan and Sophia’s mom through Bible Study at our church and also took their family photos this Summer, so had fun seeing them again. They are both adorable and Logan even started spouting out all the Presidents for me! Smarty Pants!!
I could not believe how well behaved and adorable the four Horton kids were! They were a blast – lots of laughter and talk about angry birds and girl scout cookies!
I also had a ton of fun with little Kennedy and her big sister Emery!! Kennedy wasn’t very happy with us until we started singing for her and then she started giggling and dancing to the beat!
Next up were the cute Love kiddos. I actually used to work in Brooklyn’s class at our church about a year ago, so love watching her grow up! Her little brother Beckett is adorable too! He was a bit tougher to get smiles out of, but the balloons did the trick! 🙂
Mr. Sam came into see me in an awesome Batman outfit! I got to photograph him last Spring, so it was fun to see him again too. I can tell he is totally going to be a lady charmer with those big eyes and even came in saying “cheese!” Too cute!
One of the best parts of my job is getting to play with little newborns! Sweet Olivia is just a few weeks younger than my son Rory, so I had such a fun time with her. Newborns can be tricky for mini sessions since they are either hit or miss and Miss Olivia wasn’t too happy with us at first, but we still got some great shots of her. Can’t wait to see her again this Spring and see how much she grows!!
I got the chance to do a family shoot for Isabella this summer so it was great to see her and her big blue eyes again. She had fallen asleep in the car on the way and had a runny nose, but still gave us some adorable smiles! Since I saw her last she started walking and she was really on the move! We finally had to stick her inside of a box to get her to sit still!! 🙂
Your child’s first few years come with a lot of milestones and changes! As a mom of two little boys and a photographer, I cannot stress enough how important it is to document these fleeting stages along the way. You will never look back and regret that you took the time to get portraits of your child, only that you didn’t. Especially the first year or two, I recommend getting portraits done every 3-6 months because changes happen so fast!! After that, I recommend, a yearly portrait of your child and your family!
