We are so excited to share Caroline’s baby story with you from her lovely mama Kady.
Name: Caroline Elisabeth Berridge
Date: November 20, 2016
Time: 10:30 am
Weight: 6 lbs. 12 oz.
Length: 19.5 inches
Hair? Dark Brown
Is this your first baby? Caroline is our second baby. We have a 2.5 year old son named Brady. They are 2.5 years apart to the day and our family is complete!
When was your due date? November 28, 2016
Did you go into labor naturally? How did it happen? I had a scheduled c-section right at 39 weeks. My doctor delivered both of my kids so the bond we share is one that I will hold close to my heart forever!
Did you deliver at a hospital? I delivered both of my kids at UT Southwestern Medical Center (Clements Hospital). They were born at the same hospital their daddy was born at!
How did delivery go? My delivery was very smooth. I was awake and coherent during the entire procedure as well as the skin to skin time immediately following delivery. Unfortunately, with my son they had given me too much pain and anxiety medicine so I don’t remember anything in the hours after he was born. Luckily, with Caroline the doctors were very careful with the dosage they put in me in order to make sure that did not happen.
How did you pick your baby’s name? I have always loved southern, traditional names, with Caroline being one of my all-time favorites. Her middle name, along with the spelling of it, originated from my grandmother’s first name. Elisabeth is also my middle name!
Favorite quote or verse pertaining to your child or motherhood:
“For this child I have prayed.”
“You are fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Andy advice for first time moms? It’s okay to seek advice, and know that it will come from all different directions, but no matter what, always go with what you feel in your heart is best for YOUR sweet baby!
Any product recommendations for others? I highly recommend the swaddles that Velcro rather than the actual swaddle blankets. These were a life saver at the beginning when we were waking up every 2 ½-3 hours top. They are easy to do in the dark and keep your baby nice and snug!
Any book recommendations? Being a working mom and very schedule oriented I knew it was important to get my babies in a good routine. One of my mommy friends recommended the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Baby by Marc Weissbluth. This is an easy read with every tip you can imagine for every type of situation. I would try things the book suggested, and after a week or so of doing the same thing, my baby adjusted.

YOUR BABY IS UNLIKE ANY OTHER.
Even in the womb, your baby has a distinct personality unlike any others. You want your newborn portraits to reflect your little one’s unique story and place in your new family.
That’s where I step in. I’m Jessica, owner of Lovely Fitzgerald Photography.
Being a mom of three, specializing in the newborn photography business for six years, and photographing hundreds of newborns has taught me that no two babies and no two baby stories are the same.
Capturing those heartfelt and meaningful moments between you and your baby happens to be my passion.
From our first meeting together, I will start getting to know you and your style – your likes and dislikes, what cherished heirlooms you want to include, and what colors and themes we can incorporate from your nursery and home decor. Getting to know you and your family ensures that every moment we capture during your newborn portraits is a true reflection of your one-of-a-kind style. It also ensures that you can sit back and relax on the day of your portraits, while enjoying snacks and coffee, maybe even a quick nap, because all of the details have already been planned in advance.
I create the ultimate newborn experience for you and your family, no request goes unconsidered, and no significant detail is overlooked. You will be provided with full service from start to finish, from our first chat, to installation of your artwork. You have enough on your plate already with a new baby. The last thing you need to worry about is figuring out what to do with your portraits while trying to figure out your new role as parents. I will guide you through the process in a relaxed and stress free environment, helping you every step of the way.
With a Bachelor’s of Science in Interior Design, I have the unique talent to create stunning art for you, your home, and for your future great-grandchildren.
